The Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) will reach a pivotal milestone in 2026, when the three countries undertake a mandatory 'joint review' by July 1. This process will determine whether the agreement is renewed for another 16 years or set on a path toward termination within a decade.
As the framework underpinning more than $1.9 trillion in largely duty-free North American trade, CUSMA's future carries significant economic implications. Yet the 2026 review is widely expected to be challenging.
This session will examine the scenarios that could emerge from the 2026 negotiations and the potential consequences for businesses operating across North America.
